I do love May. It's that lovely month of "mothers" especially our Blessed Mother. Good evening!

each year in October here in Belfast the`Legion of Mary organizes a Rosary Rally and a large number of people process from one church to another praying the rosary and singing hymns. The hymn you hve posted here is one of them. I love all hymns to Our Lady! Thanks, Kathy, for this and the lovely picture too.

Ann,

Thank you for sharing that with us. It is good that we can sing Hymns to Our Lady; it is a wonderful reminder to us how lovely she is and so deserving of respect, honor, and love.

I love this hymn when sung unaccompanied by any instrument, just the voices of the faithful:0)

Any word on Melissa's condition?

kathleenmiller2@verizon.net

Tom,

Thank you for your comment. Indeed this is beautiful hymn.

I don't think there is too much change in Melissa's condition. However, my friend Kim Burke from Seneca Falls started a new blog ( see my new post) and
updates will surely follow.

It is all the prayers that are helping Melissa to fight the battle to live right now. Your prayers are very much appreciated!

I am adding your blog to my sidebar.

God Bless,

Kathy

The Memorare

  • The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, My Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer them. Amen.

Having trouble Conceiving?

Spiritual Adoption prayer of Archbishop Sheen

  • "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of ( Baby's name) the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."

Priests for Life end to Abortion prayer

  • Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all, Through Christ our Lord. Amen! .

QUOTES TO LIVE BY

  • "America you are beautiful . . . and blessed . . . . The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being, but especially the weakest and most defenseless. If you want equal justice for all and true freedom and lasting peace, then America, defend life -Pope John Paul II
