Being anxious about our children comes naturally, Kathy, and Our Lady understands this, so I will pray for your lovely daughter - that she does well, excels in the areas in which she is gifted, and really has a great time!!

Of course all parents of 16 year old daughters worry themselves sick when these young ladies are out of their sight. For some reason, they always fear the worst.

Admittedly, appearances are not the most scientific basis for predicting behavior. However, based upon the photos your have posted on this blog, Hayley looks quite pious and healthy. I suspect she will be a credit to both her family and her school.

Please put your trust in the Lord. I suspect you will be smiling broadly when your little girl (really, biologically, a fully grown up woman) returns.

No matter how prophetic and reassuring I can manage to be, prayers are always in order. And you shall have them.

Tracy

Prayers being said!! Your daughter is a very beautiful young lady, we have daughters close in age, my daughter Kendra is 15:)

Sarah

Hoping she does well and praying she stays safe! Take it easy - they're supposed to do these things and grow up even though it's hard on us.

I will keep Hayley in my daily prayers. Let us know how she gets on.

You know I was only watching some politicians giving some speeches the other day and NOT one of them could speak without reading it from a piece of paper.

I did speeches at school and we were NOT allowed to read from a paper but had to memorize our thoughts on a given topic. We were only allowed 'noters' in case we lost our train of thought.

Is it laziness to always read from a prepared piece of paper? My teachers would have FAILED me for doing that.

For some fun do watch the Youtube I have on my blog and see if YOU and your family can say the riddle the FIRST time? If you do let me know because after all these years I still can't LOL! I giggle too much.

Peace and much love to you & your lovely family:)

The Memorare

  • The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, My Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer them. Amen.

Having trouble Conceiving?

Spiritual Adoption prayer of Archbishop Sheen

  • "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of ( Baby's name) the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."

Priests for Life end to Abortion prayer

  • Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all, Through Christ our Lord. Amen! .
