Spiritual Adoption prayer
"Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of ( Baby' s name) the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."- Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
To commemorate the tragic decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in ROE VS. WADE ( 1973) to legalize abortion; I thought it appropriate to ask my visitors to join me in prayer to save babies from abortion.
A Spiritual Adoption prayer should be said every day for nine months. This can be done by individuals, families, homeschools, parishes or parochial schools. You may want to name your baby; in my case I have named the baby I am praying for Thomas. After nine months of prayer; rejoice in the fact that the Lord heard your prayers for that particular child in the womb to be saved. You can also do something special like host a baby shower or simply donate some baby items to a Pro-life center.
For those of you that would like to participate, I have posted the prayer in my upper right sidebar under the Memorare prayer. You could even say a prayer for the parents too. I pray that you will all open your hearts to this prayer challenge, it is the least that we can do.

This is an apostolate started by Bob Paige in Michigan. I spoke with him last night and was very impressed by his passion to save the unborn.
May God Bless all of your undertakings to save the unborn in the womb from an unnecessary death.
This is wonderful, we are doing this in our parish and we did it last year as well and it was a huge success!!
