A classmate of my niece's died on Saturday. He was at a birthday party and accidentally drowned. My niece Jackie was supposed to be at this birthday party. All of her classmates were there. We had a family party for Jackie, so she couldn't attend. Sean was only 13, in 7th grade, and attended Catholic school. His two brothers are serving in Iraq. The parents have prepared themselves often should someone have happened to these soldiers- BUT NOT for their 13 year old. What parent one minute drops off their child at a birthday party and then goes to pick him up and he has died? This is such a tragedy. Please pray for the family and for Sean's soul.
Thank you!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Your words of encouragement were happily accepted! Yes, my husband and I pray together and we are ministers of prayer for our parish. I had adoration on Tuesday and the time before the Blessed Sacrament was so calming and beautiful. I questioned God because we have had our share of hardships these past few years. We both lost jobs as well as my son, and the financial burden was overwhelming. However God is seeing us through that somehow. It is difficult being a caregiver and I surely give credit to those who do it on a daily/monthly/yearly basis. I have a new respect for those special people. My sister is one of them. She has a daughter who is handicapped from the time she was four months old and had her first seizure to now when she is almost 21 yrs. old.
I think fatigue has a lot to do with my angst.
Thanks again for your kind thoughts.
